There were 150 winners who were chosen from over 13,000 applicants and nominees from 18 countries across 5 continents. 

These companies have accumulated $5.6 billion in investments since 2017 – making them some top contenders for success this year. 

For the first time, 25% are headquartered outside the US, with the UK in second place with 9 winners, Canada in third place with 5 winners, and Brazil in fourth place with 3 companies. 

Winners were chosen based on several factors such as:

• Tech novelty

Considering factors such as company data analysis, business model performance, market trends, and more – each was carefully selected as part of CB’s rankings.

It is worth noting that among the 150 companies, most are in early-stage development (incubator, angel/seed, or Series A) which makes this ranking even more impressive.
